8 Struggles Only an Overthinker Would Understand

Anyone overthinking? Some people say it is a blessing to overthink, while some believe it is a nuisance. They worry too much for no apparent reason. That is why it ends up damaging their health.

We’ve all overthought at least once or twice, don’t we?  It is normal to think about how to solve a number of problems. But, the problem is that we often think too much without even realizing it. Here are the signs that prove you are an overthinker.

1. We Are Excited When You Solve a Problem

Maybe we’ve had a theory about someone’s character, and in a few weeks, our theory comes true. Then we suddenly feel excited beyond words. Or, we had a difficult task to complete for a very long time, and out of nowhere, we find the inspiration to complete it.

These are the moments an overthinker experiences.

2. We Simply Can’t Let Go

We attach ourselves to the simplest things, even memories. Whatever problems we might face, we will always find a way to overcome them. We strongly believe that there is a reason for everything. And every problem can be solved.

The more we think about it, the more it will get to our nerves.

3. We Hate Shallow Socializing

We simply can’t stand small-talk. We couldn’t care less about the weather or what we had for lunch. In fact, there are a ton of interesting things we would rather be doing.

What we like to talk about is the meaning of life and other deep conversations that will inspire us to think.

4. Everything Has a Meaning

Whenever someone makes eye contact with us at the train station, we will spend minutes analyzing the reason for it. Or, we criticized a colleague at work, and we can’t stop thinking if it was really the best thing to do.

Whatever we do, we will keep thinking about a thousand ways we could have done it better.

5. We Always Seek More Information

Whenever we see something new, we will want to learn more about it. Plus, we are an avid reader. Every time we learn something new, our mind becomes overactive and more curious about the world.

6. We Always Analyze People

Whenever we see someone, we start analyzing them. We wonder why they treat people the way they do, and what is their lifelike. Also, even the way they walk can reveal a lot about their personality.

But, being in overcrowded spaces can be extremely overwhelming for us.

7. We Love Doing Things That Calm Your Mind

Overthinking can surely exhaust us. That is why we enjoy doing things that calm our mind. What we love doing is exercising, meditating, writing, and taking long walks. These activities give us peace and calm our overactive mind.

8. We Think More Than You Do

It is always difficult for us to make a decision. We simply can’t stop thinking about the choices we should make and what is the best action to take. To fix everything, we should choose an option and stick to it. Also, it is important that we don’t look back.

It may be difficult to achieve at first, but once we get the hang of it, we’ll be fine.
