21 Day Anxiety Challenge

People who deal with anxiety know the struggle. Some days the anxiety is really intense, and some are bearable. Luckily, you can do many things if you are having anxiety in order to calm down and feel better.

1. Spend Time Outside

Each day make sure to spend at least twenty minutes outside. Spending time in nature allows you to relieve the stress, breathe fresh air, and feel more relaxed.

2. Coloring Books

Even though coloring books are often associated with kids, adults do it too. It is a way in which you can relieve stress. While you are coloring, you are engaging both of your hemispheres, the logic, and the creativity. And, you provide relaxation.

3. Five Things You Are Grateful

No matter what happens in life, you need to be grateful for the good things. In fact, being grateful is healthy, so make sure to write down five things you are thankful for every day.

4. Hydration Matters

Every organ in our body needs water in order to function properly. So, dehydration leads to many health issues as well as stress. To avoid this, drink enough liquids to stay hydrated.

5. Music and Dance, Dance, Dance

Play your favorite dancing song and turn on the volume. Let yourself free to dance as much as you want. In this way, you will decrease stress and you will boost your mood. Sounds fun, right?

6. A Day Without Social Media

Since social media tend to make us just scroll on the phone and see some stressful news, you need to choose a day on which you will stay away from it. Give yourself some time to do other fun things that will help you feel better.

9. Cardio Exercise

Doing cardio for twenty minutes will help you activate your entire body, release stress, and it is good for your heart. So, make sure to MAKE some time for this exercise.

10. Go to Bed Early

Sleeping is very important for our health. Our brain needs rest and it gets it when we are sleeping. If you do not get enough sleep, then, your anxiety may be worse, so make sure to go to bed early instead of the late hours.

11. Vitamins

Since vitamins are really important for our well-being, you need to start a good vitamin regimen. Try eating foods that are rich in vitamins good for your brain and the overall health. Eat healthier foods, and stay away from fast food.

12. Animals

If you do not have a pet, get one. There are many studies saying that animals help people release stress and feel loved. So, go and snuggle your cat, puppy, or whichever animal you prefer.

13. Socialize

Spending time with people is important, but make sure to be surrounded by people who make you feel good, loved, and happy.

14. Hygge

This is a Danish word that means you learn how to appreciate what you have and be actually present at the moment.

15. Essential Oils

Use essential oils that you like in order to create some nice and relaxing atmosphere for yourself.

16. Stress Ball

It is easy to make a stress ball, and also fun! So, make one and release your stress.

17. Me-time

Everyone needs some alone time. So, no matter how busy you are, you need to find some time of the day when you will be alone.

18. Do Things You Are Good At

When we are doing things we like and we are good at, we feel good about ourselves. And, self-esteem is really important for our psychological health.

19. A List of Anxieties

Whatever you are afraid of, the best way to deal with it is to face it. But, sometimes, our anxieties are completely irrational, so writing them down may make you aware that they are really not that important.

20. Comment on Each Anxiety

When you make the list of your anxieties, comment on each one with something that makes you feel calm.

21. Happy

Try to be happy, and do other challenges in order to become a better, healthier, and happier version of yourself.
